CAMPUS DILEMMA SEASON 2 EPISODE 56

Episode 56

Monday came and work resumed. Since after the
Saturday I went to her house, Purity has not called
me which is unlike her. When I got to the office, I
called her. She told me that she has not been
feeling fine. I asked her if she needed me to come
around but she declined telling me that she was
going to be ok. I asked her if she was at her PPA
but she said that she was at home.

I left the office and took a bike to her place. I knew
she wasn’t expecting me and would be surprised to
see me at her door. I knocked twice before she
came to answer the door.

“My mind told me that it must be you” she said
opening the door. “Do you ever do what you are
told?”

“Nope I don’t” I replied following her in.
She was putting on a tank over a very short skaters
skirt, leaving to view the freshness and sexiness of
her laps. She looked sick.

“So why didn’t you call me all these while to tell me
that you have not been feeling fine” I asked sitting
beside her on the bed.

“Am I supposed to call you and tell you that I am
not feeling fine? Is it not when you call and ask that
I will tell you?”

“So if I don’t call you, you can’t call to tell me?”
“Purity please let me be. I don’t even want to start
talking about your behaviour. I just had to respect
myself and sit where I belong.”

“And what is the meaning of that?” I asked.

“Purity please, I don’t have the strength to talk, have
you eaten?”
“Yea, I ate before I left for work.”
“How is IJ?”
“She is fine.”
We were talking when a guy from her PPA came.

Immediately the dude saw me his countenance
changed. He kept a straight face and gave me cold
replies. Suspecting that maybe they had something
together, I stood up, excused myself and left telling
Purity that I will call her. She wanted to see me off
but I declined telling her that I can find my way.
When I left the room and closed the door behind
me, I placed my ear to the door pretending to wear
my shoe. I wanted to know what will transpire
between them or if they had anything going on
because from the countenance of the dude, it
looked like I have trespassed on his property. I
didn’t have to wait long before the guy threw in the
expected question.

“Who is he?”
“And what is the meaning of that?”

“It is a question that demands an answer.”

“When did that one start, wait is that why you
couldn’t even answer his greetings?”

“Am I supposed to hug and probably kiss him for
being in my girlfriend’s house?”

As I heard the girlfriend part, I became interested
and listen more.

“And who is your girlfriend?” Purity barked. “Are you
out of your mind? I think you have over stepped
your boundaries, get out of my house.”

“You are asking me to leave your house because of
some guy? After all I did for you?” The boy asked
angrily.

“What the F**** did you do for me? Did I ever ask
for your help with anything?” Purity threw back at
him and cursed more.

I guess the guy realized that he approached the
issue wrongly and wanted to placate her .

“Don’t touch me and get out,” Purity barked once
more.

Just then I knocked on the door. The room went
quiet as I knocked again. I was about to hit the
door again when the lock clicked and Purity held
the door open. Without any word, I walked past her
into the room and stood before the guy whose
countenance had changed on seeing me again. I
sized him up with my eyes. He looks like someone
I could roll on the floor before one could blink an
eye, but again, it’s not by size.

“She said you should leave and I will advise you to
do that now,” I said calmly to the guy pointing to
the door.

Recovering from the shock of seeing me again, the
boy looked me over while Purity stood in a corner
quietly. After checking me out, the guy picked his
phone and left without a word. Turning to Purity I
asked,
“Is this the kind of people you keep as friends
around here?”

“It’s none of your business who I keep as friend,”
she replied and went to the bed.

“Ok, I will take that as an appreciation for getting
rid of him,” I said and left before she could utter
another word.

When I got back to the office, I thought over
Purity’s behaviour. To the best of my knowledge,
nothing changed between us. Though it seems she
needed more attention from me which I wasn’t
giving her. I was still with my thoughts when
Constance threw a pile of papers with a flash drive
on my table jolting me back from my thoughts.

“Where is your mind? I have called you three times
with no reply and you are staring at me. Are you
ok?” she asked.

“Yea, I’m fine, sorry about that. What is this?” I
asked gathering the papers.

“Director said that you should help effect the
corrections she made here on the original copy
saved in the flash.” She replied.

“Ok, what did you save the work with,” I asked
again slotting the flash drive into the USB port of
the laptop.
